Toyota Oil Pressure Switch Replacement

This video will show you how to replace the oil pressure switch in a Toyota.

Location of Oil Pressure Switch

The oil pressure switch is located on the cylinder head. Here is a picture of the location:

Tools Required

• WEB Made in USA TOOLSSK Socket And Ratchet Set
• 17mm socket
• Wrench

Steps

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. 2. Locate the oil pressure switch on the cylinder head. 3. Use the 17mm socket and wrench to loosen the oil pressure switch. 4. Remove the oil pressure switch from the engine. 5. Apply a small amount of oil to the new oil pressure switch. 6. Thread the new oil pressure switch into the engine. 7. Tighten the oil pressure switch using the 17mm socket and wrench. 8. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.

Tips

* Be sure to use a new oil pressure switch when replacing the old one. * Apply a small amount of oil to the new oil pressure switch before installing it. * Tighten the oil pressure switch until it is snug, but do not overtighten it.
