Coronation Street's Lauren and Dee-Dee blindsided as Joel's next 'dodgy' move revealed

Joel Atkins is about to cause more chaos on Coronation Street next week, as he makes a shock move by kissing newcomer Carla Connor.

The Bistro worker - who is currently dating Abi Franklin - is set to lock lips with Carla in upcoming scenes after the pair share a heart-to-heart over a drink.

A source told The Sun: "Lauren and Dee-Dee are both going to be really hurt when they find out what Joel has done. They've both been really supportive of him, and they thought he was finally starting to turn his life around.

"But it looks like he's just going to end up hurting them all over again."

Joel's latest antics come after he was recently released from prison for his role in the factory roof collapse. He has since been trying to make amends with his family and friends, but it seems he is still struggling to stay out of trouble.

It is not yet known how Lauren and Dee-Dee will react to Joel's kiss with Carla, but it is sure to cause a lot of drama on the cobbles.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV.
