‘He Had The Biggest Grin On His Face’: Michael Keaton Reveals Why He Liked His Batman Co-Star Jack Nicholson

Keaton Praises Nicholson’s Performance

In a recent interview, Michael Keaton opened up about his experience working with Jack Nicholson on the 1989 film Batman. Keaton, who played the titular role, had nothing but praise for his co-star, saying, "He was a joy to work with. He's just so talented and so experienced, and he brought so much to the role."

Keaton went on to say that Nicholson was always prepared and always knew his lines. "He was always there, he was always on time, and he was always ready to work," Keaton said. "He was a real professional."

Keaton also praised Nicholson's sense of humor. "He's a funny guy," Keaton said. "He's always got a joke or a story to tell. He's just a great guy to be around."

Nicholson’s Influence on Keaton

Keaton also revealed that Nicholson had a major influence on his own performance as Batman. "I learned a lot from him," Keaton said. "He taught me how to be more relaxed and how to have more fun with the role."

Keaton went on to say that Nicholson's performance as the Joker was one of the main reasons he wanted to play Batman. "I saw his performance, and I thought, 'I want to do that,'" Keaton said. "I want to play a character that's so iconic and so memorable."

Keaton's performance as Batman was a critical and commercial success, and he is widely considered to be one of the best actors to ever play the role.
